Marcelle leads the firm’s litigation team and has over 35 years’ experience as a litigation attorney-at-law with particular emphasis on Commercial Litigation, including Banking, Public Law, Medical Negligence, Admiralty, and Arbitrations. She also practices Family Law and has undergone training in family mediation to enhance her skills in resolving family disputes in a non-adversarial atmosphere.
Marcelle has made presentations to some of the firm’s corporate clients on the litigation process and in particular, the new Civil Proceedings Rules. She was one of the Law Association’s representative on the New Rules Monitoring Committee, a committee established to monitor the operational efficiency of new civil Proceedings Rules. Marcelle is a former Chairman and a member of the Adoption Board of Trinidad and Tobago, a statutory authority charged with responsibility for regulating and facilitating the adoption of children in Trinidad and Tobago.
She is a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
